Pressidium hosting plans run on a similar model as WP Engine and Kinsta.
Both hosting companies are charging customers based on visits. For example, WP Engine’s smallest package, which comes in at $30/month stacks up to the personal package with about 25,000 visits allowed per month and 10 GB of storage. WP Engine does not offer a smaller, micro-sized package for beginners, though. WP Engine does offer larger packages for those sites that receive millions of visits per month.
What I like about Pressidium Hosting
I have to add that there was a feel good factor when dealing with Pressidium founder Andrew Georges. For example, I experienced a small glitch when I first setup the test site. Andrew was very fast to respond to my questions and very transparent with their issues. Honesty from a web hosting company is vital to good communication between you and tech support. It goes a long way toward resolving any underlying issues you might have with your site.
Major Advantages
On top of this, there are a number of things I found impressive about Pressidium, including:
Very reliable and fast servers 100% server uptime so far for our test site. SSD storage made the test site load extra fast – very low response time on our test site (averaging 200ms).
Service backed by SLA – 95% service availability Customers will receive 5% of customer's monthly credit for each hour of service interruption in the form of SLA Credits, which are applied to the monthly fee. However, you must make your request for the credits in writing within 30 days of the incident and the amount can't be more than the fees the customer is paying. My experience shows this wouldn't be a problem, though.
Pinnacle Platform Pressidium's built-from-the-ground hosting platforms come with all sort of advanced WP features – including auto updates, staging sites for WP development, and automated backup. Also, was easy to use their platform and a smooth transition so far – adding a site and configuring it was easy.
Reasonable price The price at Pressidium is slightly cheaper than similar hosting companies that offer the same WordPress specific service. All other things being equal, saving money is a nice perk.

What I dislike –
Nil. I am very impressed with Pressidium so far and didn’t find anything that would throw up a red flag for me.
Important to know
1. Cost per visit
However, it's important to note that Pressidium charges users based on the number of visits to the site, similar to other WordPress specific hosting companies, such as WP Engine. The problem here is that there is no way to know how the web hosting company calculates those visits. For example, what if the visit is from a bot and not a real visitor?
The co-founder of Pressidium, Andrew Georges, did inform us in an interview that they don’t count bots and that their goal is to help businesses succeed, so if you have concerns over how visits are counted, you should first read that interview. If you still have questions about visits, contact Pressidium directly with specific questions.
WP Engine, which uses the same concept, has been on the receiving end of complaints from several high profile bloggers who feel they are being overcharged. Will the same problem crop up with Pressidium? It’s too soon to say. Only time will tell if the calculating process is fair to website owners.
2. No email hosting
Take note that Pressidium does not provide email hosting. If you want an email address ending with your domain name (something like [email protected]), you will need to host your own email accounts. Given that their targeted audience are mostly advance Internet users and geeks – I suppose that shouldn't be a problem.
We setup a dummy site on Pressidium early 2015. The following is the uptime score recorded using third party tracking service – Uptime Robot. We will be posting more uptime record in future.
Pressidium March 2016 Uptime Record – 100%
Pressidium Hosting Uptime for March, 2016 = 100%. The last recorded outage was 3 months ago (on December 31, 2015) where our test site went out for a brief one minute.
Pressidium February 2016 Uptime Record – 100%
Pressidium Hosting Uptime for Jan 24 – Feb 23, 2016 = 100%. The last outage happened 2 months ago (on December 31, 2015), our test site went out for a brief one minute according to our record.

Pressidium Server Speed Test
We added a new server testing method in February 2016 and began tracking our test site response times from 8 different locations. On February 2016, test site hosted on Pressidium hit 135 and 76 milliseconds from United States West and East Coast servers (not a bad result). The overall rating, as compared with 10 millions websites on the Internet, is “B”.
Pressidium server speed test results from 8 different locations (Feb 2016).
Bottom line – Pressidium is a good web host for advance WP users
Even though Pressidium offers a Micro package for newbies, the platform really isn’t good for newbies for a number of reasons, including that a new site has no way of calculating hosting costs because visitors can fluctuate widely in the early days of a new site.
However, Pressidium is suitable for large WordPress sites that are getting a lot of traffic and want a site that loads ultra-fast. If you do decide to give this web hosting company a try, consider a one-year commitment as you’ll get two months free by paying in advance. That discount could help with any minor hiccups as the hosting company finds its footing and as your site grows.
Alternatives and Comparisons
If Pressidium is not right for you, WP Engine, Kinsta, and SiteGround are a few good managed WordPress web hosts you can consider. Also, if you don't mind having less hosting capacity, here are a few cheaper alternatives- InMotion Hosting, Hostgator, and GreenGeeks.
