May is a month focused on memories. Remembering summers past as the weather warms and remembering fallen soldiers who’ve defended our freedoms. Speaking of memories, we made quite a few at WHSR in May. Whether you want to build your blog, learn more about how to run your site through an infographic or find a new hosting company, we’ve got a roundup of news to finish out your month on a high note.
Just getting started in your blogging career? Take the time to read over the article by Jerry Low titled Things We Wish We Knew Before Starting A Blog. In this article, Low interviews successful blog owners and gets inside tips on things they would do differently from the beginning, if only they’d known what they know now.
As always, we take a hard look and offer honest reviews so you can choose the best hosting solutions possible for your blog. Start off by reading Jerry Low’s article about CloudAccess.net. He had the opportunity to talk to Jonathan Gafill, CEO, about the company and what they have to offer during an exclusive interview. Gafill answers questions about the Joomla! platform combined with CloudAccess.net.
Next, you’ll want to read the review on iPage. The review takes a look at iPage’s inexpensive cost and the other features available through this host. You’ll also want to check out Jerry Low’s look at some of the common complaints about iPage and ways to deal with them. He talks about higher renewal fees and offers a comparison chart for iPage and other popular cheap hosting companies. He also looks at other complaints about customer service and upselling of software.
New Features at WHSR
Recently, WHSR has started to add more infographics and icons for your convenience.
The infographic on the left takes a look at the evolution of IT from 1941 on; the infographic on the right offers a quick run-down of the biggest mistakes blog owners make.
Looking for themed icons? WHSR added two new sets in May that are free for you to use. The first is based on the 2014 World Cup. You’ll find lots of vivid colors in a cogged wheel style.
The second set was designed by Vecteezy and is based around transportation. You’ll find a police cruiser, a tram, a hot air balloon and a train, to name a few.
