In summary, we had two perfect uptime record for the past 30 days (MONEY!)- FatCow and WP Engine; while most of the rest flirting around 99.8% – 99.97% in uptime, which is not too bad in my opinion.
Here are the charts and my comments.
After an unbelievably long record of 100% uptime (1,638 hours and 57 minutes to be exact, equals to 68.25 days), my InMotion Hosting finally went down on August 21, 2014 due to an internal server error. In result, the web host recorded a 99.92% uptime for the past 30 days.
There are two newcomers in my tracking list – Host Metro, and IX Web Hosting. Host Metro recorded a 99.6% uptime for the past 30 days. According to Host Metro manager – they were constantly above 99.9% before this, the significant downtime was due to server configuration errors – read my review to learn more. In relative, IX Web Hosting was doing much better – the web host recorded 430 hour and 51 minutes uptime duration before going down for 2.5 hours in August. In result, IX scored 99.92% uptime from July 13th – August 14th. The following are the uptime chart recorded from Uptime Robot.
RoseHosting is one of the few in my list that does not oversell. Rose was 99.87% up for the past 30 days. According to Uptime Robot, the web host accumulated 55 minutes of downtime in August, 2014 so far.
Here are the uptime scores for bunch of other web hosting services that I am tracking.
After two awful months, WebHostingHub is now back on track. The web host recorded only 15 minutes of downtime for August so far and hit a 99.9% uptime for the past 30 days. As for SiteGround – well, these guys are above 99.95% ever since I started tracking them so there isn’t much to say.
BlueHost recorded 4 hours of downtime after a long 431 hours of 100%-up record. I have no idea what caused the server outage; but as you can see it affected the site uptime score badly. The other few that scored below their usual uptime scores are iPage, A2 Hosting, and Arvixe.
